Roberts Expedition 37' - AU$136,000

'Coup' de Soleil' was built in Vancouver, Canada in 1995 by s shipyard specializing in building aluminum commercial fishing boats on the Roberts 37A design by Australian naval architect Bruce Roberts.

Her current and only owner purchased her in 1995 and spent 5 years finishing the construction to prepare and fit her out for extended offshore travel, choosing all fittings and equipment with care for their strength, durability and resilience to extreme weather condition.

Aptly described as an expedition vessel, yet very comfortable, this Roberts 37A became home to the owner and his wife during their extended travel, cruising along the Canadian and American West Coast, then onto Mexico, the Marquesas, French Polynesia, Cook Islands, American Samoa, Tonga, and ultimately Fiji in 2015 after 7 years of voyaging. Unfortunately, due to health problems, the owner and his wife had to return to Canada and reluctantly put the boat for sale.

With 560L of water (plus a water-maker), 560L of fuel and all you need to meet all your power requirements with solar panels and generator as well as 1200 pure sinewave inverter, your cruising range is virtually limitless.

'Coup de Soleil ' is powered by a reliable and powerful 50HP Perkins Prima in immaculate condition with a healthy 2564 hours. Her cutter rig is oversize for strength and was replaced in 2008, as were all her sails, including a fully battened main sail, Genoa on Furler, Heavy weather self tacking sail, and a Code 0 (light wind sail) with sock (as new).

A veritable little ship, 'Coup de Soleil' could challenge NASA with her range of cruising electronic, Equipped including 2 X VHF radios, HF radio, Garmin GPSmap 178C, Noboltec navigation software with South Pacific, East Coast of Australia, West Coast of Canada, USA and Mexico maps, Panasonic Toughbook laptop for navigation, Raymarine Radar 18" Digital radome scanner (48 nautical miles), Raymarine A series, 5" display for radar and maps, Raymarine depth ST60 + display, Raymarine Speed ST60+ display, Raymarine 6000+ autopilot with heavy duty electric driver, Pactor USB II, AIS West Marine 2 ways, WIFI High Output antenna, Iridium Satellite Phone 9505A and Cannon printer...

Ready to continue on on her world exploration this amazing yacht also comes with a 2.5m RIB with outboard, new Sunbrella dodger, Bimini and sail covers, BBQ, 2 X Dahon folding aluminum bicycles, one complete set of scuba diving equipment with BCD, regulator, octopus, lead belt, and a brand new diving cylinder. There are lots of spares for her engines, tools, books and cruising guides and pilot charts.

Ready to anchor in all conditions her equipment include 1200w electric winch, 20kg Bruce anchor with 75m of graded high tensile chain, 15kg delta anchor with 15m of chain and 100m of rode, 9kg Danforth anchor with 4m of chain and 30m of rode and a 300ft Jordan drogue.

Now for home comfort, Coup de Soleil's beautiful cabin was fully insulated and finished in light and warm timber, with an intelligent use of space contributing to making her cabin feel a lot larger than her 37' would normally provide. She is also equipped with a very efficient Espar diesel heater, which is safe to use in all circumstances and was a very valuable asset when cruising the remote north coast of western Canada.

Her Layout is divided into two large double cabins aft and another large double forward, with a raise deck saloon allowing for better use of space and a galley on split level, which situation allows for a full use of the boat's beam with stopping traffic and making this gourmet galley larger than what you would expect on a 40' boat.

Her large head area is fitted with a separate hot and cold water, with a 22L water heater working either with the engine's heat exchanger, shore power or generator.
