-------------------
The Outremer 45, made famous by her ambassadors on ‘Sailing La Vagabonde’, is not just a head turner wherever she goes, she is a also a weapon under sails and a safe, fast, comfortable offshore voyager.
The French have long been synonymous with exceptional boat building and design, and the Outremer, for the many decades since their first catamaran took the sailing world by storm in 1984, have remained un-dethroned as the very best catamarans in the world for many reasons. First of all, the Outremers are one of the only multihulls that even the most committed mono-hull sailors will covet. Their sailing performance, even as a cruising yachts designed with safety in mind, shows an unbelievable turn of speed yet a smoothness in even difficult sea conditions. It is for this reason that so many of them have, and are still each year competing and thoroughly distinguishing themselves in such arduous events as the Route Du Rhum, a gruelling race across the North Atlantic not meant for the faint-hearted! Most of the sails can be adjusted from the helm, where there is an electric winch, making it easy for the boat to be sailed even by one person alone.
“The intent is to build a boat that will last 50 years,” said Outremer director of sales Matthieu Rougevin-Baville. Outremers yachts are built with this commitment in mind and a religious effort to keep their owners safe over the millions of miles covered by their boats, where adventure can go along with peace of mind and a fast, responsive boat can also remain safe and comfortable both at sea and at anchor.
“Infinity’ delivered this promise and will continue to deliver it for decades to come for her new family. Her current owners, a French couple with two young children commissioned the building of their dream boat in 2017. They ticked almost every option available and equipped the boat for their voyage, which began in La Grande Motte in July 2017 when the boat was launched and was made ready for their trip across three Oceans.
After an 18 months idyllic voyage, which took them down the coast of France to finish the summer in the Mediterranean, then to the Cape Verde Islands and across the Atlantic to the Caribeean, then to the Galapagos, Tahiti, Tonga, Fiji and Australia, then back again to New Caledonia, it was finally time to go home and to allow another family to purchase ‘Infinity’ and a begin a dream of their own.
‘Infinity’ presents in boat-show condition, and could pass for a new boat, yet she has been tried and tested and is equipped with everything you need to call her home now and / or get going right away if you wish. She is your opportunity to enter the Outremer family and acquire a near-new Outremer 45 which you would otherwise need to wait at least 18 months for it to be built and equipped to suit your needs.
Be quick! ‘Infinity’ is the only Outremer 45 available in the south hemisphere and is quite possibly the very best one on the makret. She was fully surveyed a month ago and was given a thoroughly clean bill of health. She is waiting for you in beautiful Noumea, with an ongoing berth booking in a cyclone-proof marina that you can easily change in your name.
Our international, boutique-size company specialises in only the very best quality cruising yachts. We are very much involved with the cruising community and are here to assist you at every step of your purchase, help with registration, import and insurance according to your needs and preferences.
