Lagoon 440 - EURO 272,000 Neg.

Perhaps the most popular catamaran ever built, the Lagoon 440 was designed and built to the highest standards to offer ultimate comfort as well as proven sea-keeping qualities. As many cruisers recently pointed out, recent years have seen a huge increase in catamarans representations in remote anchorages around the world, to the point that monohulls are being seriously left behind as a choice of cruising boat. Capable of offering un-matched stability and comfort on the ocean, rolling anchorages, and access to shallow and well protect beaches where dangerous reefs prevent most monohulls to seek shelter, they have also the amazing advantage of being able to be 'beached' for maintenance or when convenient, and of course provide an amazing volume of accommodation and privacy for owner and guests.

Four Cabin, Four Head version with light-tinted timber interior. Interior. Each cabin has ample 2.04 meter / 6'10" headroom and have their own private head w/vanity and shower. Queen-size berths aft and forward measure (2,0m / 6'7" x 1,60m / 5'2" at widest point). There are 12 berths in total.

While all cabins are designed with comfort and space in mind, the aft cabins qualify as 'master cabins. The main features are the queen size island beds and large hull fixed windows bringing in lots of natural light and offering a beautiful view on the outside while staying discrete. Cabin ventilation is assured by numerous opening portholes and hatches. There is ample storage below each berth. Curtains on portholes, hatches and fixed one-way windows.

Designed to maximize storage space without impeding on the living area, the saloon, galley and navigation area are all on one level, with abundance of light and warm timber cabinetry for a modern and spacious feeling. The saloon leather upholstery is functional but a little aged, as well as the floor in traffic area. The owner concentrated his expenses on mechanical work first and was about to finish by completing interior cosmetic work, but the sudden need to sell unfortunately had to interrupt the final stages of renovation. The only items left to do, other than upholstery (as seen in pictures) and floor (scuffed), is the fridge seal, which albeit still working could be replaced to ensure electricity savings.

Launched in 2007 this Lagoon 440 first started her life in the idyllic waters of the Seyshelles, where she spent 5 years as a charter vessel, under the care of an excellent company which re-newed their stock after 5 years, often after little use compared to other similar charter businesses.
She was then purchased by her current owner, who sailed her around the world until a change of circumstances suddenly brought the need to sell.
Conceived and chosen as a cruising boat because of her sailing capabilities and huge fuel and water capacity (650L and 600L respectively), she was also fitted with the 54HP optional engines as opposed to the usual 40HP, giving her the much needed extra power when prefering to motor sail in strong head winds or currents.

The yacht is currently located in Vanuatu, (VAT paid) where her owners are based and under the care of Vanuatu Yacht Services, who ensure her maintenance and have a dedicated cradle for her in case of cyclone.

Manufacturer Provided Description:

At a reasonable cost, and offering immense space, the Lagoon 440 targets two distinct customer bases: ocean cruisers with an emphasis on performance and ultra comfort within a controlled budget, and the charter market with or without skipper. simple glance at the boat is enough to notice its main distinguishing characteristic: a rigid bimini, with an integral helm station. The percentage of catamarans now equipped with biminis has practically reached 100%, and so it is logical for Lagoon to propose a built-in and much more aesthetically pleasing solution. A simple rigid bimini would have satisfied many customer expectations, however we preferred to place the helm station at its ideal central location, with an extra-wide bench seat where guests can join the helmsman and participate in the joys of sailing.
