This spectacular looking yacht from Halberg Rassy is in tremendously good condition. She has been looked after lovingly by her current owners as can be seen from her condition in the photos.
Grace 7 was sailed from Europe to Australia by a Dutch family and their young children who lived on board for some time during the passage and a third child arrived soon after their arrival to Australia!
With just three owners since her launch in 1980 the yacht was purchased by her current owners in 2012. Since then Grace 7 has undergone an extensive refit including new rigging, new engine and a very impressive list of new and upgraded equipment. The couple have enjoyed cruising the East coast of Australia and took part in the go East rally visiting the Pacific Islands including Vanuatu, New Caledonia and the outer islands.
The essential cruising gear is all here – Echo tech water maker, quad solar panels mounted on the davits, wind generator, excellent power management systems with more than ample battery power – all essentials when cruising offshore. There is even a portable generator. Other ‘must haves’ include AIS send and receive, Foruno radar, Iridium Go for internet on the go, autopilot and even wind vane steering – which the current owners said was extremely reliable throughout their pacific cruising.
The engine was replaced new in 2014 and has only 1128 hours logged. Adding to this very impressive inventory are a full suite of newly upgraded batteries, a new stove, upgraded fridge, upgraded windlass, new Ray marine wind instrument, a current Epirb with current rigging and a new main in 2013 with endless amount of spares. Full details of this very impressive inventory and more information can be found in the inventory and by watching the video on YouTube.
Below decks she is shows all the quality of design and workmanship that have made Halberg Rassy yachts highly sought after. She is incredibly roomy for a 38ft yacht. Her interior timberwork and upholstery in traditional blue are in very good condition and the roomy saloon and large dining area will allow for the whole family and friends to enjoy sailing together.
Her owners have kept an excellent log with receipts for virtually everything purchased. They will be very sorry to see Grace 7 go but are very keen to pass her on to a cruising family who will make the most of her and enjoy her as they have.
