‘JULIA’ is a simply stunning example of the highly sought after Fountaine Pajot Helia 'Evolution' 44. She would appeal to a new boat buyer, presents in turn-key condition and is equipped with everything you could possibly wish for as a live-aboard blue-water cruising yacht. All photos and video were taken on location in Fiji from the 17th of August 2019 and show the boat exactly as she is presented. This yacht will be full surveyed by independent IMS (UK) registered surveyor on the 4th of September 2019. The report will be made available on request.
The Helia Evolution range is upgraded from the Helm 44 range, with a separate toilet / shower area in the owner's suite, an office / story area instead of a lounge, and other remarkable improvements from the original design.

OWNER'S NARRATIVE:
Julia is a beautiful one-owner catamaran. She was selected over other brands because of Fountaine Pajot’s outstanding sense of style and attention to detail. In particular, we were impressed with the livability of the cockpit and salon. Many parties and get-togethers have been hosted on Julia, and she never fails to be showered with compliments on how comfortable and accommodating she is for groups of people. Her space “flows” naturally from one area to the next, in comfort and style. Living aboard is quite lovely because of the large amount of storage throughout the boat. Unnecessary items are put out of sight creating spaces that are more open and beautiful. She presents a very modern look throughout, with a warm brown Austrian walnut laminate flooring and a woodgrain blond laminate for most vertical surfaces of cabinets and built-in features.
A fun boat to sail, Julia will easily do six knots with just the jib. She’s stable underway and manageable with two people on passages. With both sails up she’s fast. On long passages in good weather, we set the autopilot to the “vane” setting which provides us with many hours or days of carefree sailing. With our Raymarine local area network, we connect the chart plotter to our favorite iPads and can live carefree underway, while always staying on watch. The couch in the salon is large and can accommodate a sleeper or extra crew for nighttime watches.
The cockpit is where Julia’s hospitality begins. The openness and uncluttered feel is the first thing that impresses friends, with comfortable cushioned seating for 12 people, including eight people around the dinner table. The cockpit includes the BBQ, freezer and ice maker.
The teak floor adds warmth and comfort. Nighttime get-togethers are particularly fun when the underwater green and blue lights are turned on. They never fail to attract amazing numbers and varieties of sea life including large manta rays and sharks! Julia also has a full component of exterior blue lighting around the roof of the salon and toe-space areas of the cockpit. Combined with the indirect lighting from the salon ceiling, a very intimate and dramatic effect and be produced. Julia always stands out within the anchorage or moorage when the blue lights are on!
The flow between the cockpit and the salon is remarkable. A 1 meter (3’) sliding glass door and a 1 meter ( 3’) sliding glass window create a 2 meter (6’) wide, unobstructed space for an incredible feeling of openness. The cockpit and salon are on the same level. The galley is to the left as you enter the salon with the sliding window being the pass-through to the cockpit. Outside this window, in the cockpit is a 20 cm (8”) wide shelf, the same height as the galley counter top. It’s great for transfers between the two spaces. Inside, the couch seating around the coffee table adds to her stylish comfort.
The third space which works for get-togethers is the upper deck, the roof of the cockpit and salon. Access to this space is from the helm, which is a half level above the cockpit. This area is all cushions for lounging and seating. The views from up there are phenomenal and most people are surprised to find out it is there.
The berths are also very special on Julia and she gets many compliments on both their style and functionality. The Owners Suite in the starboard hull has a queen bed, a huge expanded window, shelves on each size at the mattress height with LED reading lights on both sides. Nearly half the bed length is walk around space with a free area beyond the foot of the bed. There is a cooling fan, port lights and hatches that keeps Julia’s master hull well- ventilated. There are plenty of cabinets and drawers for storage for an uncluttered, spacious feeling. There is a sit down desk with a cooling fan mounted above. The master head is private, separated from the lavatory. Moving through the master hull, the vanity has a sizable mirror and a full height storage cabinet that we use as our toiletries pantry. A very large glassed in shower is adjacent to the vanity. A washing machine alcove is accessed through the shower.
The guest cabins in the port hull are also very private and well ventilated. Separated from the salon, both guest cabins offer queen size beds, LED reading lights, overhead and ambient LED lighting, dramatic large side windows, closet space and huge drawers. Port lights and large hatches with screens enhance our guests experience and comfort. Each cabin has air conditioning/heating controllers and its own private bathroom and shower. The aft guest cabin has an electric toilet and the forward guest cabin has a pump toilet. Our guests and crew have always provided us with positive feedback from their living experience aboard Julia in their private cabin.
Julia also gets many compliments on her interior personal touches. Extensive designer cushions, colorful spreads in the berths and salon, and artwork and designer items around the boat contribute to a relaxed and artful ambience.
JULIA'S SALON:
Most people coming into Julia’s salon for the first time say something like “wow!” as they experience the wrap-around visibility through the tall, dramatic windows. The designer touches with the ceiling and lighting, the modern finishes, and tasteful accessories complete the picture. The room is spacious, free-flowing and very comfortable.

THE GALLEY:
The galley on Julia is both the literal and figurative the center of activity. With fantastic access to both the cockpit and salon, 2, 3, or even 4 people at a time can work on meals. An efficient “U” shaped kitchen, with the gas range joining the two legs, the leg facing the cockpit is 2.5 meters (8’3”), and the leg facing the salon is 1.8 meters (5’9”). The offset is great for circulation, allowing easy access to and from the kitchen. Directly across from the galley is the 2 drawer stainless refrigerator, with the pantry above. In the circulation area between the kitchen and the pantry are three large storage areas in the floor.
