New Yanmar Diesel 75HP February 2017. New generator and electronics 2015. Turn-key condition and ready to keep sailing anywhere in the world. Forced sale due to change of circumstances.
Nautilus Yacht Management is proud to present this Reinke 13 2001 ‘Momo Saruwa’.
Designed by German naval architect Kurt Reinke and built by Rehberger Yachts in Bremen, Germany and Friendship, Switzerland, this Reinke 13m Special is an incredibly strong, go-anywhere cruising boat with excellent turn of speed, ease of handling for solo or short handed crew, stable and comfortable in all weather condition. A true expedition vessel purpose-built to remain safe into the arctic circle as much as around dangerous topical reefs, her hull is constructed from 10mm aluminium (AlMg4.5Mn) on the bottom, with 8mm topsides and remaining wet area , and 5mm decks.
Her bilge keels allow her to be comfortably beached for ease of maintenance in remote locations, or to access some of the world’s tidal ports. Her short draft is also a great asset when wanting to tuck yourself in to a well protected, shallow anchorage in case of storm.
Momo-Saruwa is fitted-out to be completely self-sufficient for long periods of time and sustain any onslaught the weather can throw at her. She was designed and built specifically to explore remote and untouched areas of the world. Her previous owners, a Swiss couple, built and equipped her to the highest standards and sailed her for 13 Years from Europe to the northern and southern reaches of the Atlantic, to the Pacific Ocean and New Zealand.
Her second and current owners, (coincidentally, also Swiss) searched all around the world for a vessel such as this. They purchased the yacht in January 2015 in New Zealand, and after fitting in a new generator, new upholstery, and a few other creature comfort, went on to sail to the Fiji Islands, Vanuatu, Salomon Islands, PNG, Torres Strait and Indonesia, later continuing onto to Flores, Komodo, Lombok, Borneo, Singapore and finally Thailand, where ill health has unfortunately interrupted their sailing plan and forced them to put their beloved Momo Saruwa on the market.
Her versatile interior, full insulation and marine diesel heater keep her warm and dry even in high latitudes, while remaining cool and well ventilated in the tropics. The layout includes a double stateroom forward and another one in aft, which is accessed by a full standing room passage inside the cabin. Her wide, comfortable main cabin is dominated with an elevated saloon for great views and a sense of space, a large dinner table which can seat 6 people comfortably, L shape galley, settee and navigation area equipped with a full array of top of the range electronics including 9” Raymarine touch screen chart plotter, Raymarine RD418 Digital Radar, Raymarine AIS650 Class B transponder and a Raymarine NMEA0183 GPS ( all new 2015 ) plus twin Raymarine autopilots and ST60 wind instruments. A Sailor RT4801 – VHF and an Icom IC- M802 SSB with Pactor modem for worldwide communications. Her cabin is kept warm and dry with a beautiful marine-grade diesel heater, while an array of 12V fans and opening hatches provide good cross ventilation in warm weather. A good size head and shower is equipped with an electric toilet with holding tank, and separate hot and cold pressurized shower. Designed to accommodate enough supplies for extended time offshore or exploring remote areas, this yacht offers an exceptional amount of dedicated storage. Everything is kept superbly tidy organised. The inventory includes an amazing amount of spares and repairs kits for all systems on board. Please email us for the full inventory as it is too long to list here!
Momo-Saruwa is cutter rigged with a Nordic 16.5m double spreader mast and twin spinnaker booms, she has a 2015 Elvestrom mainsail and genoa plus a comprehensive suite of storm sails and a near new Gennaker.
Presently located in Langkawi, she can be inspected at any time with a little notice.
