Priscalina is a Fontaine Pajot Lavezzi Maestro 40 with a roll-reefing mainsail (probably the only Fontaine Pajot catamaran with a roller reefing main). She was ordered as an owner version in 2003 and delivered to La Rochelle (France) to her elderly owner who sailed her to Croatia. In the following years she was handled gently, sailing mostly under reduced sail due to the owner's age. Priscalina was never chartered. In 2010, her current owners found her as they were looking for a yacht to go cruising around the world, and saw that she was practically in new condition. During 2011 and 2012 they commissioned a number of upgrades and installation of cruising equipment to prepare her for their world trip. Motors, sail drives, sails, water equipment, steering gear, electrical and electronics were serviced or renewed, and extended where necessary. Part of the preparation work for the world cruise included (2012 and 2013): -New batteries replaced with larger ones to improve electric budget -New autopilot remote control (Raymarine Smart Controller) for more comfort. (remote control with information screen) -All new plumbing in both toilets and addition of an electric toilet pump in the owners cabin -Installation of a new WIFI-Bullet2 with WIFI-router for the reception of WIFI signals when anchored -Installation of a new Furuno AIS and Weather Fax (FA50 and WX30) -Full engine and sail drive strip and overhaul - All hatches seals renewed -New Bimini and side panels with windows and sunshade awnings (2014) -New fore-deck trampoline -New saloon cushion covers AND New standing rigging 2015 Other improvements and modifications include: -2 X spare winches (new 2012, total 6 winches) -Blocks and jam-cleats for Parasailor (New 2012) -2 X large stern cleats -3 X extra stowage for diving compressor or generator -1 X external cupboard for small items -LED lights throughout -FONTANEL Hydraulic gangway with remote control. Serves also for launching the dinghy. Since the summer of 2012, her owners have cruised across the Mediterranean, Atlantic and Pacific oceans without notable problems. Their little girl was born on the way in 2013, and the boat proved itself to be an excellent choice when cruising short handed and with a baby. They arrived in Australia in November 2015, and with a new baby due in March, have decided that it was time for the beautiful Priscalina to find a new home. The boat was fully surveyed in November (survey report available) which revealed no problems at all in spite of her huge amount of sea miles, which is a testimony to the quality of built of the Fontaine Pajot as well as to the love and care of her owners. The boat is fully imported in Australia and ready to sell, with taxes paid, quarantine and fumigation carried out, etc. Upon stepping on board Priscalina, I could not be more impressed by her presentation. Kept in immaculate condition, with hardly any noticeable wear and tear either inside or outside, it is hard to believe that this yacht has come all the way from Europe, in all sorts of weather, and with a young family on board at all time! Then again, having sold quite a few Fontaine Pajots over the years with similar ocean travel under their intelligently designed hulls, I am once again stupefied at the ease these yachts cross oceans, with what is proven to be minimum impact from the elements and very little wear and tear, especially when compared to other less sturdy multi-hulls, or mono-hulls. The Lavezzi Maestro version is a rare find on the market, where most Lavezzi models are 4 cabins, even 6 cabins versions, which often leaves them with a 'crowded feel'. With the starboard hull reserved for the owner's use, with large queen size berth, walk through lounge, dressing room and ensuite head and shower, this model guaranties privacy and comfort, while offering plenty of room for your guests in the port hull, which has two double cabins and its own head and shower. The amount of storage this boat offers in remarkable, as well as her multitude of portholes and hatches, which provide abundance of light and ventilation. Even after over two years cruising the tropics the owners have never felt the need for air-conditioning, as good fans and cross ventilation kept the cabins comfortable at all time. The headroom is 6.4+ throughout, even in the forward cabins. Designed on a indoor-outdoor flow, the cockpit and saloon become one huge relaxation and entertaining area when the sliding door is open, with level access to steerage, which many find better than the larger catamaran's turret' ' type cockpit, often exposing the skipper to the elements and making communication and companionship difficult when in the sea way. With 2 X 280L water tanks as well as a water maker, there is no need to rush to port or shorten showers. Designed to remain 'off the grid' for as long as possible, the boat can provide for its own power and water needs, thanks to its 3 X 160 Watt solar panels, huge battery bank and a 1600w Honda generator in case of emergency or if needing to use applicances which use a lot of amps, such as power tools. As safety is paramount for the owners and their baby, the boat is equipped with a comprehensive list of safety items, including top of the range navigation and communication equipment, such as radar, AIS, 2 chart-plotters, weather fax, etc. As well as a 8 people liferaft (Plastimo Transocean. Tested March 2015), EPIRB (ACR Global FIX PRO), 4 X anchors, etc. Basically handed over with everything you need to take off for anywhere in the world, the huge inventory even invludes two folding bicycles, Karcher high pressure cleaner, scuba diving air bottle, hammocks, a vast array of tools and repair kits, spare parts for almost everything on board, warp cutters, high seas fishing rods, etc.... The yacht is presently situated in Pittwater, Sydney, and is fully landed and tax paid. As slipways and surveyors close during the Christmas break the owners have commission a full pre-purchase survey from an Australian surveyor, which was carried out in November 2015, and which is available to interested buyers.
